More details on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises 2010
Royal Caribbean International and premium sister line Celebrity Cruises will have a joint presence sailing out of Southampton in 2010.
Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas, one of the world’s largest cruise ships, is returning for its third summer season operating from the south coast port.
And Independence will be joined by all new 2,850-passenger Celebrity Eclipse in its first season based from Southampton. Click here for more information about the ship
Celebrity Eclipse, the third in a series of new generation Solstice class vessels for Celebrity Cruises, will offer 26 departures from the UK varying in duration from four to 16 nights.
Celebrity Eclipse, which features innovations such as a lawn club and dedicated spa cabins, will run 11-night itineraries to the Canary islands, 14-night sailings to the western Mediterranean including an overnight stay in Palma, Majorca; 14-night Scandinavia and Russia departures featuring overnight stays in St Petersburg and Copenhagen and 16-night eastern Mediterranean voyages to Venice. Royal Caribbean International’s new programme includes eight-night fly-cruises from Dubai for the first time with 13 departures on Brilliance of the Seas between January and April 2010.Ports of call include Muscat, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain.
Independence of the Seas will run a new three-night taster cruise to Le Harve and two four-nighters to Cork.
The ship, currently amongst the largest afloat, will mainly run 14-night sailings to the Mediterranean on two different itineraries and a series of spring and autumn cruises to the Canary Islands. Click here for prices and itineraries
Jewel of the Seas is to sail from Harwich on nine 12-night Scandinavia and Russia sailings between May and August while Vision of the Seas will operate a 13-night voyage between Copenhagen and Venice. Click here for prices and itineraries
Short break fly-cruises will also be available on Vision of the Seas from Olso to Hamburg and Barcelona to Ibiza on Adventure of the Seas.
Adventure of the Seas will also be deployed on a range of five-night fly-cruises from Malaga to the Canary Islands or Corsica and from Barcelona to Sardinia and Sicily and to Livorno for Florence and Civitavecchia for Rome.
Seven-night Med fly-cruises from Malaga will be operated by Adventure of the Seas; Navigator of the Seas from Civitavecchia and Voyager of the Seas from Barcelona.
Brilliance of the Seas is to also sail from Barcelona offering 12-night voyages to the Eastern Med.
Seven-night fly-cruises to the Eastern Med will run from Civitavecchia on Navigator of the Seas and from Venice on Splendour of the Seas.
A 12-night Greek Islands fly-cruise including four seas days and stops in France, Italy, Greece and Turkey from Barcelona will be run by Brilliance of the Seas.
Egypt features on a series of winter sun fly-cruises from Barcelona on Brilliance of the Seas.
